Four of the Top-Rated Pinot Noirs available for tasting all in one room..…….Sounds like a Pinot Paradise to me! Join us at Bella Mia Restaurant for our August Pinot Fest. The tasting will occur on Thursday August 28th, between the hours of 6:00-7:30. The cost per person is $25 and includes wine and appetizer tasting. The four Pinots available for tasting are as follows: ‘06 Veramonte Pinot Noir out of Chile: The Huneeus Family started the winery in Chile’s Casablanca Valley in 1990. It started with 100 acres, and has now grown to 1100 acres! Their Pinot Noir is dominated by floral and strawberry aromas. ‘05 Picket Fence Pinot Noir from Sonoma: Don Van Staaveren started the winery in the Russian River Valley. It is located just 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean. This Pinot is fruit forward, and has a hint of spice and Bing Cherry. ’05 Gloria Ferrer Pinot Noir out of Carneros: This winery has been around for more than 20 years! Their wines are a blend of Catalan, and California Mission designs. Their Pinot displays flavors of Ripe Cherry with hints of smoke, bacon and earth. ’06 Beringer Pinot Noir from the Central Coast: The winery was founded in 1876 by Jacob and Frederick Beringer who traveled to the United States from Germany. This Pinot is fruit forward with subtle hints of orange rind, rose and spice.
